We are fortunate to have a kiln and some fundraisers for stocking the kiln room with more glass. These allow us to create fused glass and small ceramic projects in the classrooms. Our annual auction is upon us. Tom and I always volunteer for the project. We enjoy truly letting the students create without too much direction. We also enjoy bidding on these projects. This year, I had an idea - glass trees as candle holders.

I spent part of my morning at our daughter's elementary school. I've volunteered for the art/lit coordinator position. I'm so glad I did. I had the privilege today of teaching the children about a somewhat local artist that is a favorite, Dale Chihuly.
